Empowering Women Through Enterprise
At Next Leaders Forum, we are proud to spotlight leaders who are not only driven by vision but also taking practical steps to empower their generation.
One such inspiring leader is Valerie Mugoni, our Director of Enterprise and Empowerment. Her passion for entrepreneurship, especially among young women, has found full expression through her initiative — Women In Business Initiative at Chinhoyi University of Technology.
The Women In Business Initiative is a platform dedicated to inspiring, networking, and empowering young women in business and entrepreneurship.
Valerie and her team have created a vibrant community where ideas are nurtured, leadership is cultivated, and enterprises are birthed. Through targeted training programs and networking events, the initiative equips young ladies with business skills, confidence, and the boldness to start and sustain their own ventures.
Networking events that connect aspiring entrepreneurs with mentors and established businesswomen
Practical training workshops covering business planning, financial management, and marketing
Peer support groups where women can share challenges and solutions
Pitch competitions to help launch promising business ideas
"When you empower a woman with enterprise skills, you don't just change her life - you transform her family and community."
On May 31st, the initiative hosted a powerful Dinner Event — a night of inspiration, celebration, and connection. It was a moment to honor and encourage the young women who have taken bold steps to launch their businesses. The atmosphere was rich with stories of courage, shared experiences, and future possibilities.
Valerie's work is a true example of what it means to lead through service and impact. At Next Leaders Forum, we celebrate her leadership and the transformative space she has created.
"When young people rise in their area of gifting, entire communities are uplifted."
We believe the future is brighter, enterprising, and empowered.
